Dr. Bahar Dernek is an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation based in Istanbul, where she has dedicated her career to advancing patient care through innovative, evidence‑based therapies. Born in 1980 in Malatya, Dr. Dernek earned her medical degree from Istanbul University and subsequently served in key academic and clinical roles. From 2005 to 2011 she was a faculty member in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Medicine. She then joined Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Education and Research Hospital (2012‑2016) and later Istanbul Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Education and Research Hospital (2016‑2023), where she honed her skills in musculoskeletal and chronic pain management. In 2023 she established her own private clinic, allowing her to tailor treatments more closely to individual patient needs. Her therapeutic portfolio is centered on regenerative medicine and advanced pain management.
